Outside the Church, cults and non-Christian world religions de-emphasize the centrality of the Cross of Jesus Christ. Inside the Church, many contemporary theologians are promoting a crossless Christianity. Christ crucified is not only what gives Christians a right relationship with God (justification), but it is also the power to live the Christian life sanctification). In Revelation 2:4,
